After crossing the river by ferry, we continue riding north toward the charming province of Kampong Thom, situated in the heart of Cambodia.

Lost Temple Run
Kampung Thom – Preah Khan Temples – Koh Ker Temples – Siem Reap

Today is our temple-exploring day. After breakfast, we begin our journey from the resort, riding along the river and into remote villages and forested areas to discover several ancient temple sites—Sambor Prei Kuk, Preah Khan, and Prasat Koh Ker—hidden deep in the forest and each over 2,000 years old.
Once lost to history, these remarkable temples were rediscovered one by one in the 1990s. After our exploration, we continue our ride to Phnom Kulen National Park, home to ancient cultural sites and beautiful waterfalls, before ending the day in Siem Reap, the vibrant town that serves as the gateway to the iconic Angkor Wat temples.

Day 3.
Angkor Archaeological Park

Today, we also set out to explore Cambodia’s western region—Battambang Province. Its gentle capital, historic Battambang City, is our final destination for the day. Before reaching the city, we stop to climb the stairs of Phnom Sampaeu, a limestone hill offering sweeping views over the lush, fertile countryside for which Battambang is renowned. At the summit, we take time to visit the colorful temples and observe the war relics scattered around the area, each telling a quiet story of Cambodia’s turbulent recent history.

Next, we experience the famous Bamboo Train—a unique ride on a makeshift bamboo platform powered by a small motor, gliding along old railway tracks through the rural landscape.
Continuing our journey southward, we head towards Phnom 1500, located in Veal Veng District, Pursat Province. This mountain, also known as Phnom 1005, is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, offering opportunities for hiking, camping, and enjoying breathtaking views of Cambodia’s landscape.
