Day 1
ByeBye Phnom Penh City
Phnom Penh – Takeo – Kep - Kampot

We leave the busy streets of Phnom Penh and ride south through Cambodia’s beautiful countryside, passing rice fields, traditional villages, and quiet rural roads. Along the way, we visit Phnom Chiso, an ancient hilltop temple with stunning panoramic views.
The ride continues along hidden backroads and light dirt trails near the Vietnam border, offering a real taste of local life and adventure riding. Before reaching the coast, we stop at a secret beach to relax and enjoy the sea breeze.
After exploring Kep, famous for fresh seafood and ocean views, we finish the day in the charming riverside town of Kampot.

Day 2
Beach Side Sleep Over

After breakfast in Kampot, we ride up into Bokor National Park, enjoying winding mountain roads, jungle scenery, and panoramic coastal views.
After exploring the historic Bokor Hill area, we descend toward Cambodia’s tropical coastline and continue to Sihanoukville.
From there, we take the ferry across the Gulf of Thailand to Koh Rong, famous for its white sandy beaches, turquoise water, and relaxed island atmosphere.
The rest of the afternoon is free to enjoy the beach, swim, relax with fresh seafood, or simply watch the sunset by the ocean.

Day 3 (Half Day Ride)
Hill Top National Park
Koh Rong – Kirirom

After a relaxing morning on Koh Rong, we return by ferry to the mainland and ride north toward Kirirom National Park.
The route passes through peaceful countryside roads, small villages, and rolling hills before climbing into the cool mountain landscapes of Kirirom. Surrounded by pine forests and fresh mountain air, the park offers a completely different atmosphere from the tropical coastline.
After arriving, the afternoon is free to relax, enjoy the natural surroundings, or explore the forest trails around the park.

Cambodia Heart Land
Kirirom – Kampong Chhnang – Kampong Thom

Leaving Kirirom National Park behind, we ride north through the heart of rural Cambodia toward Kampong Chhnang. The journey takes us along scenic countryside roads lined with rice fields, traditional villages, and riverside landscapes, offering a real glimpse into everyday Cambodian life.
After exploring Kampong Chhnang, famous for its pottery villages and floating communities, we cross the Tonlé Sap River by local ferry before taking a remote countryside shortcut toward Kampong Thom. The route combines quiet backroads, rural tracks, and authentic village scenery, making today a true adventure through Cambodia’s hidden countryside.

Temple Run & River Cruse
Kampong Thom – Kratie

Today we continue north through the heart of Cambodia along quiet provincial roads and scenic countryside tracks. Before leaving Kampong Thom, we visit Sambor Prei Kuk, the ancient pre-Angkor temple complex hidden within the forest and recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After exploring the temples, we continue riding through traditional villages, rice fields, and small rural towns toward Kratie, a charming Mekong riverside town famous for its peaceful atmosphere, Irrawaddy dolphins, and beautiful sunset views over the Mekong River.

Day 6
Welcome to Lao
Kratie – Cross border Cambodia / Laos – 4000 Islands Don Khone

Today is your last day in Cambodia. We start from Kratie and travel south toward the Laos border at Stung Treng / Veun Kham crossing.
After immigration procedures, enter Laos and continue to Nakaxang village, where you will park your motorbikes.
From here, take a boat to Don Det to visit the beautiful Liphi Waterfall (Tat Somphamit), one of the most scenic areas of the 4000 Islands region.
This area also holds important historical value, as it was once part of the French colonial Indochina period. The French developed early infrastructure here, including the first railway line in Laos, built to connect Don Det and Don Khone islands, helping transport goods and bypass the powerful Mekong waterfalls.
Enjoy lunch at Khone Pa Soi Island, where you can observe and learn about traditional fishing techniques still practiced by local villagers today.
In the afternoon, return to Nakaxang, pick up your bikes, and take a short ride to Don Khong Island for overnight stay.
Arrive at the hotel, relax, and enjoy swimming in the pool while watching a beautiful sunset over the Mekong River.

After breakfast, begin your journey with a relaxed ride along Route 13, following the Mekong’s southern landscapes toward Thabang village. This gentle start allows you to enjoy the morning scenery and local village life along the way.
From Thabang, the adventure truly begins as you turn onto Route A18, entering the wild and untouched beauty of Xe Pian National Protected Area. This section offers an exciting ride through dense forests, remote terrain, and off-the-beaten-path landscapes rarely visited by travelers.
A highlight of the day is a stop at the hidden gem of Tad SapaWaterfall. Surrounded by nature, this peaceful waterfall is the perfect place to cool off with a refreshing swim and relax before continuing the journey.
Afterward, continue riding approximately 65 km through scenic countryside toward Attapeu Province, one of the most remote and authentic regions in southern Laos.

Start the day with a relaxed ride toward Samxai village, where history comes alive. Here, you will encounter powerful remnants from the Vietnam War—including a missile site left behind in the jungle, offering a striking glimpse into Laos’ past.
From Samxai, the journey becomes more adventurous as you ride along sections of the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail, once a vital lifeline during the war. The road winds through dense forest and remote landscapes, creating a true expedition feeling.
After approximately 25km, reach a dramatic mountaintop viewpoint where an old military tank still stands, overlooking the vast waters of the Xekaman Dam. The panoramic scenery here is unforgettable—wild, remote, and untouched.
Along the way, pass through ethnic minority villages where life remains deeply connected to the land. You will see how local communities creatively reuse scrap metal from the past—transforming it into homes, fences, and farming tools. It’s a powerful reflection of resilience and adaptation.
Lunch will be served at a scenic local restaurant overlooking a field of wind turbines—an impressive contrast between nature and modern development.
In the afternoon, ride up onto the lush Bolaven Plateau, famous for its cool climate, waterfalls, and some of the finest coffee in Southeast Asia. The landscape gradually changes into rolling hills and green plantations.
Arrive at Tad Lo Waterfall just before sunset. After a full day of adventure, unwind—take off your riding gear and enjoy a refreshing swim in the natural pools.

Tad Lo - Ho Chi Minh Trail – Muang Nong – Sepon

Today’s journey follows one of the most historic routes in Laos—the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail, once a vital supply network during the Vietnam War and one of the most heavily bombed areas in the country.
During the ride, enjoy a truly immersive experience through remote landscapes toward the Laos–Vietnam border, passing dense forests and quiet villages that once played an important role in wartime history. This route offers a powerful combination of natural beauty and historical significance.
From here, continue toward Muang Nong District, an area known for its strategic importance during the Lam Son 719 Campaign. Along the way, visit the local Laos–Vietnam War Museum to gain deeper insight into the events that shaped this region and its people. After the visit, continue for another 30 km to your hotel in Sepon, where you will stay overnight.

Spectacular Riding
Sepon – Thakek - Nakai Plateau

We begin the day riding along Route 9 toward Seno, an important transport hub in central Laos. From here, we continue south along Route 13 toward Thakhek, following one of the country’s most iconic overland adventure routes.
Along the way, we stop for lunch at a local restaurant by the Mekong River, where you can enjoy beautiful views across the water toward Nakhon Phanom.
Arriving in Thakhek, you’ll notice its charming atmosphere, with remnants of French colonial architecture dating back to the early 20th century, reflecting the town’s historical role during the colonial era.
After lunch, we leave the Mekong plains behind as the landscape gradually transforms. The road leads into a spectacular region of limestone mountains, open countryside, and winding rural roads—marking the beginning of the famous Thakhek Loop.
From Thakhek, the adventure continues as you ascend toward the breathtaking Nakai Plateau. This remote highland area is known for its dramatic scenery, expansive horizons, and untouched natural beauty. The ride is a true highlight, offering sweeping panoramic views, peaceful villages, and a genuine sense of exploration and discovery.
We aim to arrive at Sunset Resort on the Nakai Plateau before sunset, where you can relax and take in the stunning views as the day comes to a perfect close.

Nakai Plateau - Kong Lor Cave Adventure – The Rock Viewpoint

This morning, set out for an unforgettable excursion to Kong Lor Cave, one of the most spectacular natural wonders in Laos.
We begin the day riding along the famous Thakhek Loop, heading through the pristine forests of Nakai-Nam Theun National Protected Area. This remote region is rich in biodiversity and home to a variety of wildlife. Along the way, you’ll stop to see a unique Buddha carving on a rock face—an important local spiritual site where villagers come to pay respect and worship.
Continuing the ride, we arrive near Kong Lor, with a stop for lunch at a local restaurant close to the beautiful Blue Lagoon area.
After lunch, you have the option to explore Kong Lor Cave by boat. This incredible journey takes you deep inside a 7 km-long underground river cave, where towering limestone walls, hidden chambers, and emerald waters create a truly magical atmosphere. It is widely considered one of the most unique cave experiences in Southeast Asia.
After the exploration, we return toward The Rock Viewpoint, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings.

During the war, the cave was tragically bombed, and it now stands as a powerful reminder of the human cost of conflict in Laos. Today, it is a quiet memorial site surrounded by peaceful nature.
Continue the journey into the untouched wilderness of the Nam Et-Phou Louey National Protected Area, especially the Nam Nern area—one of Laos’ most important conservation zones. This vast jungle ecosystem is home to rich biodiversity, dense primary forest, and rare wildlife, offering a true sense of raw, untouched nature.

Today is the final and longest riding day of your journey, but also one of the most rewarding as you travel through the spectacular landscapes of northern Laos.
Depart from Muang Hiem and ride through scenic mountain roads, winding through remote valleys, forested hills, and traditional rural communities. This stretch offers some of the most beautiful and untouched scenery in the entire trip.
Continue toward Nong Khiaw, a breathtaking riverside town surrounded by dramatic limestone mountains and one of the most picturesque river valleys in Laos. Enjoy a short break here to take in the stunning views of the Nam Ou River.
Afterward, continue the final leg of your journey toward Luang Prabang, the UNESCO World Heritage city known for its timeless charm, golden temples, and French colonial architecture.

FAQ’S:
What motorbikes do we ride this Adventure tour?
We ride CFMOTO 450 MT. A middle range adventure motorcycle which is perfect for Cambodia and South-East Asia.
You will need a valid motorbike license or learners permit.
What gear do I need to bring with you for this motorbike tour?
You must wear an approved motorbike helmet, boots, goggles and gloves. We recommend bringing a 2L water bladder to keep you hydrated in the Cambodia climate. You will be able to fill this each day
What happens if I have an accident on the motorbike tour?
Your tour guides are first aid trained and carry a first aid kit with them in case of minor injuries. We will call for emergency services if needed. We recommend getting travel insurance that covers you for most activities but especially motorbike riding.
What happens if I damage or break the bike on the tour?
We offer bike insurance at $30 per day, which covers all damage to the motorcycle during the tour. If you choose not to take the insurance and an accident occurs that results in severe damage or the breaking of an important part of the bike, you will be responsible for the replacement costs. Our Ride crew is highly experienced and can almost always get a bike running again. In the event of any breakdowns, we will do our best to repair the issue and get you back on the road as quickly as possible.
How experienced do I have to be to do the Adventure bike tour in Cambodia?
As long as you have had some road and off-road experience, you will be fine. We cater for all skill levels and our fantastic guides will help you along the way.
Can I bring my own motorbike on the tour?
Absolutely, the cost of the tour becomes cheaper when you bring your own bike. However, your motorcycle must be serviced or inspected by the VMS workshop to ensure it is fully prepared for the tour. You will also be responsible for performing any required servicing or maintenance on your bike throughout the tour.
What do I need to bring on the dirt bike tour?
You only need to bring your riding gear, clothes for the evenings, and any personal items you’ll need at night. On rest days, we’ll mostly stay in good hotels and resorts.
What is supplied for the Motorcycle Tour in Cambodia?
We provide a 450 MT motorcycle, all meals (breakfast, dinner, and trail snacks), fuel for the entire trip, a fully equipped support vehicle to carry all your gear, ferry fees, necessary permits, and experienced lead and sweep riders.
